Amethyst is a powerful energy amplifer and has an influence on body and soul. It is ideal for meditation and manifesting. It helps to strengthen our spiritual powers, promotes peaceful sleep and keeps away nightmares. It is also recommended for skin disorders, diseases of the reproductive system, migraines, headaches and addictions.

Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love. One of the most important stones for Heart Chakra work, Rose Quartz opens the heart to all types of love love of self, love of family, love of friends, romantic love. Because it is Quartz, Rose Quartz does have a high energy, but its vibe is also calming and soothing.

Crystal or Clear Quartz is known as the "Master Healer".  It has a very high vibration and is the most versatile healing stone. Quartz is said to be the most powerful healing stone and able to work on any condition. Clear Quartz is known as a stone of power and amplifies any energy or intention. Clear Quartz is believed to protect against negativity, attune to your higher self, and relieve pain. Quartz crystals are also very programmable.

Rudraksha Seeds (Beads) are extremely powerful, natural seeds that have been worn by yogis and spiritual leaders for thousands of years. They enhance peace of mind, tranquility, health, success and prosperity.

The word 'Mala' means 'Garland'.  Mala beads can be made from wooden beads, seeds, semi-precious or precious stones or gems.  A full size Mala consists of 108 beads. The number 108 is a sacred, auspicious number in many cultures but particularly in the Hindu tradition. The number comes from multiplying the 12 astrological houses by the 9 planets.  Each Mala also has a Guru bead, or tassel to remind us of the teachers in our lives.

Traditionally, the mala is held between the thumb and middle finger and as each bead is passed through the finger and thumb, a mantra or god is said silently, quietly or out loud.  The most powerful mantras are said to be those repeated silently in the mind. This is done until the Guru bead is reached (but not counted), the Mala is reversed and the process goes on until the Guru bead is reached again.  Repeating a mantra in this way is an excellent way of calming the mind and keeping thought of  'The Divine' (whatever that is for each one of us, whatever culture, religion or belief we hold) in our everyday lives.

When not in use, your mala should be stored in a special, clean and preferably sacred space, for example on a personal altar or on a statue of a deity.
